As a nursing student, I have learned the hard way from purchasing too many useless clinical guides. This one is the best so far and negates the need to have all the others. I wish I had found this book sooner. It has pathophysiology, assessments, diagnosis, nursing considerations, labs, etc. for conditions listed alphabetically. Super-easy to reference!

BEST BOOK for nursing school PERIOD!!!!!!

I am in my 4th semester (RN School) an A/B student and I WISH I had known about this book a year ago, When we first started doing care plans, we were overwhelmed. This awesome 1039 page book has lightweight covers so it doesnt add 25 pounds to your already stuffed bookbag This book covers everything you can think of. It utilizes usually 2 pages per topic. Say for example "Tonsilitis" It gives you the overview/definition of the problem, Pathophysiology, causes, common characteristics, assessment, physical findings, labs, treatment, nursing diagnoses, key outcomes/goals, pre and post-op,nursing interventions, patient teaching, complications, and resources. What I love about it the most is I am using it also as a review for NCLEX. I can get all I need to know in 2 pages. I would highly recommend this to everyone. This is my favorite book and I have shelves of nursing books. Also I have to say the best book I have carried to all my clinicals is the RNotes flip book. I do my assessments on my patients and fill in the blanks, At night I simply wipe it clean with an alcohol pad,,It has EVERYTHING for every class. I especially loved it during Parent Child,,Helped so much with drugs, assessment techniques, IV's, you name it,, OK back to the books, Major exam in 4 days, 8 chapters to cover! I just had to share to hopefully help save someone a lot of headaches..

This book is worth its weight in gold for students in Clinicals. It covers many diseases and provides a thorough explanation of the pathophysiology, medical and nursing interventions. I use it as a reference when contructing time consuming careplans. A+ book.
