....if you read only one book this year, prepare your soul to be inspired by the contents of this wonderfully written book. This text is not theologically deep but it will not tickle your ears either. There's a lot of meat on the bone that will require repeated readings. If you do not know who George MacDonald is, then this is yet another fine reason to jump into the text here. The author, Michael Phillips is dedicated to publishing the works of this 19th century theologian, pastor and novelist. Here is a quote from George MacDonald:
OBSERVE THE OBEDIENCE of Jesus to the Father. He did not give the commands, he obeyed them.
This book will answer the age old question: How do I live a truly honest Christ Like Life? Hint! .....It has something to do with the greatest gift GOD gave to mankind: FREE WILL. may I suggest you buy a used copy of this book .....if you can, sometimes very wise people write things of great worth in the margins and in the blank spaces.
What else can i say, I'm a big Brennan Manning fan as well, but Michael and George are turning out to be two jewels in the crown of creation.
Thanks Michael, keep on writing till the cows come home.
